The Finger Companies’ offer to donate the trees currently on the property, in preparation for a January groundbreaking, was accepted by Discovery Green and Commissioner Radack who are each paying relocation costs. “It is wonderful that these trees are being moved,” states Kathy Lord, president of Trees for Houston. “It is really important to preserve the canopy of tress downtown. It helps with air quality and overall quality of life. I also commend Commissioner Radack for making certain that as many trees as possible find a home. This is exactly the type of public private partnership we need in Houston”...
